Free video converter ‘HandBrake 1.0’ finally released

One of the most popular video converters ‘HandBrake’ has finished 13 years in development and its first stable version is now available for download. That’s right, 13 years of development and should be one kind of a record! The development team believes in one day at-a-time approach. In fact many of us even won’t be aware that we had been using the beta version until today.

HandBrake is a cross-platform video converter with powerful features not even seen in paid converters. It supports Intel QuickSync Video H.265/HEVC encoding and comes with several handy presets for quick encoding. It includes support for Passthru of E-AC-3, FLAC, and TrueHD audio formats. Ultra HD / 4K color pass through has been added in this version.
